Zac Efron Becomes Adam Warlock For James Gunn’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ In New Image

Zac Efron becomes Adam Warlock for James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in this stunning artwork that imagines the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While Adam Warlock hasn’t made his debut in the MCU just yet, James Gunn has seemed committed to introducing him through the Guardians of the Galaxy film series.A cocoon in the Collector’s museum in the first Guardians of the Galaxy is based off Adam Warlock’s original cocoon design in the comics — and he was once meant to debut in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2. Disappointingly, the golden hero had to be dropped from the script so that James Gunn could keep Mantis in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2. Since Adam Warlock is one of James Gunn’s favorite characters, the director still managed to tease his introduction at the end of the second film.

But ever since eagle-eyed fans noticed the cocoon in the first Guardians of the Galaxy film, rumors, speculation, and fan-castings have been a constant discussion as fans debate who could make a great Adam Warlock. One name that constantly comes up to play the character is Zac Efron. With James Gunn back on board for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, fans will have to wait and see whether or not they get their wish for a Zac Efron casting. Both James Gunn and Kevin Feige have mentioned before that Adam Warlock will be a vital part of the cosmic side of the MCU going forward — and who wouldn’t want to see Zac Efron headlining alongside the rest of the team? Take a glance at the artwork by Subi Ozil below to get an idea for what a Zac Efron portrayal of Adam Warlock could look like on screen.
